With Krispy Kream offering 5 cent coffee and McDonalds offering free latte on Friday mornings, wanted to see where else free coffee or almost free can be had.
By the way Panera is offering free coffee all day toaday (1/28) to introduce their new coffee line. |

These aren't coffee shops per se, but for a cup of joe you can usually get it free while transacting business at:
- your local bank: Washington Mutual and Umpqua are two that almost always have coffee available - waiting area of car repair shop or at the dealership - sign up for the Peet's Coffee & Tea 'email an invitation' to a friend and your friend will get a coupon for a free Peet's drink. Caught this in the February 18th,
2009 edition of the Willamette Week newspaper:
• FREE BUZZ: Stumptown Coffee says it'll hand out free, 8-ounce French Press coffees to customers between 9 and 10 am every Monday from now until the week of Tax Day, April 15. The offer's good at all four local Stumptown cafes (one per customer, no refills). "It's our way of saying, 'Hey, recession: F U," explains Stumptown's director of operations, Matt Lounsbury, in an email. |
